Senior Manager Internal Audit. 

We’re looking for a fully qualified internal auditor with experience of the UK pensions market. The role is hybrid or remote.

About the role

Initially, you’ll be responsible for

  • Developing a solution to the TPR’s General Code’s for how internal audit can better support pension scheme trustees through evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of the system of governance
  • Growing a team
  • Reviewing internal controls
  • Creating, drafting and reviewing standard and bespoke communications
  • Liaising with trustees and their advisers at meetings, by telephone calls and e-mail
  • Monitoring deadlines and actions on a portfolio of schemes

The role will focus on technical, strategic growth and business development of the service line, and ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to a high-quality standard.

Your skills and experience

  • Holder of a Chartered IIA qualification
  • Experience – 5 years or more in an internal audit with sound technical knowledge
  • Skills – an excellent team builder, communicator who understands how to express complicated ideas in a concise and clear way. A good technical understanding of UK pensions work would be preferred
  • Proven experience in business automation and process improvement
  • Characteristics – a can do, enthusiastic approach to tackling problems, and a desire to build pro-active teams with your colleagues and clients
