Providing an annual celebration of apprentices, and the employers, training providers and schools/colleges involved in apprenticeships, across Oxfordshire, the Oxfordshire Apprenticeship Awards 2024 will be held on May 16 2024.

Launched in 2017, and managed on a not-for-profit basis by OxLEP Skills, the Oxfordshire Apprenticeship Awards (or the OAA, for short), have gone from strength to strength in showcasing the relevance, importance, and benefits of apprenticeships in today’s business community.

What are the Oxfordshire Apprenticeship Awards?

With thirteen categories of awards, the OOA is a great way of recognising apprentices who have excelled in their work, learning, development, and made exceptional contributions to their workplaces.

Through to recognising the staff from training providers (colleges, universities, employer providers and independent training providers) who go the extra mile to support and encourage apprentices and enable individuals to achieve to their potential.

The awards are for apprentices and employers in Oxfordshire, and those training providers who deliver their services in Oxfordshire.

Ultimately, the awards are an important way of recognising the huge contribution apprenticeships make to the UK’s economy, and economic potential, across a wide range of sectors.

When are the Oxfordshire Apprenticeship Awards 2024?

The Oxfordshire Apprenticeship Awards 2024 ceremony will take place on the evening of Thursday 16 May at Williams Racing Conference Centre, Grove, Wantage, OX12 0DQ.

The important dates for the Oxfordshire Apprenticeship Awards 2024 are:

  • Awards submissions open: 16 November 2023
  • Awards submissions close: 19 February 2024 (at midnight)
  • Awards Finalists announced: 18 April 2024
  • Awards celebration evening: 16 May 2024

What are the categories?

The Oxfordshire Apprenticeship Awards 2024 has thirteen categories, each of which is judged and awarded by a sponsoring organisation.

There are eight categories for apprentices, three for employers, and two for school/college training providers.

  1. Intermediate Apprentice of the Year
  2. Advanced Apprentice of the Year
  3. Higher / Degree Apprentice of the Year
  4. Special Recognition Award
  5. Rising Star Award
  6. Shining Star Award
  7. Apprenticeship Ambassador Award
  8. Oxfordshire Apprentice of the Year

  9. Apprenticeship Employer of the Year (250 or More Employees)
  10. Apprenticeship Employer of the Year (Less Than 250 Employees)
  11. Inspiring the Future Employer of the Year

  12. Careers Champion Award
  13. Training Provider Individual Award

How do I enter the Oxfordshire Apprenticeship Awards 2024?

To enter the awards visit the website and download an entry OR nomination form for each category you would like to enter, complete all sections and return via email to skills@oxfordshirelep.com by midnight Monday 19 February 2024

Note: for the individual awards, you can either enter yourself or nominate someone. You don’t need to complete both forms.
